2026 National Convention Clinical Skills Competition 

Presented by the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) 

The National Clinical Skills Competition (CSC) is a premier event where SNPhA student pharmacists from across the nation showcase their clinical knowledge, patient assessment, pharmaceutical care planning, presentation, and counseling skills. If you have any questions, please contact National VP,  Dr. Lauren Wells (vicepresident@snpha.org)


Only one member per team needs to register the entire team. 

Awards

  • 1st Place: Cash prize + SNPhA lapel pin

  • 2nd Place: Cash prize + SNPhA lapel pin
  • 3rd Place: Cash prize + SNPhA lapel pin

Competition Details

  • Date: Friday, July 31 & Saturday, August 1, 2026
    • Preliminary Round: July 31 (Care Plan Submission).
    • Final Round: August 1 (Presentation, Q&A, Counseling).
  • Location: Rockville, Maryland (SNPhA National Convention)
  • Winner Announcement: Sunday, August 2, 2026, during the Closing Banquet

Competition Format

  • Teams of two compete by analyzing patient cases and medication profiles.

  • Tasks include identifying drug therapy problems, developing care plans, presenting cases, and conducting counseling sessions.

Eligibility 

  • Open exclusively to P2, P3, and P4 students (Class of 2027, 2028 & 2029).
    • Disclaimer: All rising second year students must be partnered with an upper classmen (P3 or P4).
  • Must be current SNPhA members and enrolled full-time in a PharmD program.
  • Recent graduates (Class of 2026) and licensed pharmacists are not eligible!
