SNPhA's Equity in Practice: Rewriting the Narrative of Care
Social Determinants of Health Certificate
The SNPhA Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Certificate Program is an educational and leadership development initiative designed to equip student pharmacists with the knowledge and tools needed to better understand and address the social factors that impact patient health outcomes. Through interactive learning experiences, reflection activities, and community-centered discussions, participants will explore topics such as health disparities, health equity, cultural humility, access to care, advocacy, and the role of pharmacists in advancing equitable healthcare.
This certificate program encourages participants to think critically about the barriers underserved communities face and how healthcare professionals can help create meaningful change within their communities and the healthcare system.
This year, we are especially excited to expand the program to include pharmacists, who will have the opportunity to earn CE credit for each session attended. By bringing student pharmacists and practicing pharmacists together, the program aims to foster collaborative learning and continued growth in advancing health equity and patient-centered care.
Student pharmacists who successfully complete all program requirements (attendance atALL 3sessions) will receive an official SNPhA SDOH Certificate of Completion.
To apply, students must complete the official application form:
