Aaliyah Wade is a third-year PharmD candidate at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Originally from Raeford, North Carolina, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Biology from North Carolina State University.

Since joining SNPhA, Aaliyah has developed a passion for advocacy, leadership, and creating meaningful opportunities to serve underserved communities. Her commitment to SNPhA’s mission led her to serve as the inaugural National Combating Cancer Initiative Chair, where she helped establish the foundation for the organization’s newest national initiative. During her tenure, she developed programming and resources centered on cancer education, health disparities, and community engagement. She also spearheaded the inaugural Cancer Clarity Challenge in collaboration with the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association, creating a national platform for student pharmacists to combat cancer misinformation and advance health equity within their communities.

Now serving as Corresponding Secretary on the SNPhA National Board, Aaliyah is passionate about helping members recognize their potential, expand their professional development, and build meaningful connections that extend beyond their time in pharmacy school.

Guided by the theme "Passion Creates Purpose ." she hopes to use her role to create opportunities and lasting resources that empower members to turn what inspires them into purposeful action and meaningful impact within SNPhA, the profession of pharmacy, and the communities they serve.

Ma’Kyah Goodlow is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a 2023 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she earned her B.S. in Chemistry. As a proud Arkansas native, Ma’Kyah is passionate about advancing health equity and creating greater access to healthcare, professional development, and pharmacy opportunities for underserved communities and future pharmacists.

Her SNPhA journey includes serving as Historian and Bridging the Gap Chair, where she has championed pharmacy education, community outreach, health equity, and student engagement. As National Public Relations Liaison, Ma’Kyah is committed to elevating the voices and accomplishments of SNPhA members and chapters, strengthening the organization’s national presence, and showcasing the impact of SNPhA within the profession and communities it serves.

Ma’Kyah’s career aspirations are rooted in the pharmaceutical industry, with a particular interest in medical affairs and the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) field. She hopes to bridge scientific innovation and healthcare while using her platform to advocate for greater representation, access, and health equity.

Ma'Kyah is honored to serve as the 2026-2027 National Public Relations Liaison and is excited to help SNPhA embrace Passion Creates Purpose by amplifying member voices and showcasing their impact nationwide.

Dimah Alani is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She previously served as President of the University at Buffalo SNPhA Chapter for two years, where she focused on increasing engagement, expanding community outreach, and strengthening collaboration. Under her leadership, the chapter grew from a small- to a medium-sized chapter and became one of the top three chapters in Region 1. Her leadership was also recognized through The Pillars of Leadership Awards at UB.

Beyond SNPhA, Dimah serves on the Social Media Committee for the Pharmacists Association of Western New York and has experience in community pharmacy, health-system pharmacy, clinical research, and the pharmaceutical industry. Her professional interests include Medical Affairs and Market Access.

Outside of pharmacy, Dimah enjoys traveling, reading, exploring different cultures, and spending time with family and friends. As the 2026–2027 SNPhA Region 1 Facilitator, Dimah hopes to strengthen connections between chapters, empower student leaders, and support continued growth across the region.

Ama Boamah is a fourth-year PharmD candidate at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Originally from Ghana and raised in New York City, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Smith College. Her experiences navigating different cultures and healthcare systems sparked a passion for health equity, servant leadership and empowering underserved communities through pharmacy.

Growing up, Ama witnessed the impact that compassionate healthcare professionals can have on individuals and families. Those experiences inspired her commitment to becoming a pharmacist who not only provides exceptional patient care but also creates opportunities for others to lead, serve and make meaningful change.

Ama’s journey with SNPhA began during her first year of pharmacy school. She later served as Chapter President at UNC where she led initiatives that strengthened member engagement, expanded community outreach, fostered partnerships and helped elevate the chapter to new levels of success. Under her leadership, the chapter co-hosted the 2026 SNPhA Regions I & II Conference and earned numerous national recognition for its commitment to excellence, service and professional development.

Now serving as the Region II Facilitator, Ama is dedicated to empowering chapters to reach their full potential by strengthening collaboration, cultivating partnerships and creating sustainable opportunities for growth. She is passionate about helping chapters expand their impact and ensure every member feels equipped to transform their passion into purposeful action. .

Outside of pharmacy, Ama enjoys baking, traveling, binge watching shows and spending time with family and friends. Driven by the belief that"Passion Creates Purpose" she strives to leave every organization and community stronger than she found it.

Deardra Lewis is a fourth-year student pharmacist at the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy at High Point University, where she has distinguished herself through academic excellence, clinical engagement, and sustained leadership within SNPhA. Born in Tucson, Arizona, but raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, she earned her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University in 2007. Between undergrad and starting pharmacy school, she has gained 15 years of retail experience at Sam’s Club pharmacy, where her passion created her purpose.

Ifeatu Menakaya is a fourth-year dual-degree candidate at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy’s PharmD and Pharmacometrics MS programs. Originally from Somerset, New Jersey, Ifeatu earned his Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.

From an early age, Ifeatu has been passionate about leadership, community building, and mentorship. These passions directly aligned with SNPhA's mission, where he found his purpose early in his P1 year. In his three years of didactic coursework, chapter members served as mentors and lifelong friends throughout and beyond his pharmacy school experience.

After being named president-elect of his SNPhA chapter at the beginning of his P2 year, he made it his mission to continue growing his local chapter through collaborative events with organizations within and outside his pharmacy school. During his P3 presidency, Ifeatu prioritized new member engagement and retention by fostering the same sense of community and belonging that SNPhA had given him when he first joined.

Outside of SNPhA, Ifeatu has been in several campus organizations and initiatives such as Phi Delta Chi, APhA-ASP Operation Substance-Use Disorder, Phi Lambda Sigma, Middle States Steering Committee, Inclusive Excellence Committee, and Student Government Association.

Outside of pharmacy, Ifeatu loves to cook and spend quality time with his family and friends. Ifeatu is honored to serve as the 2026-2027 Region IV Facilitator and create an environment where Passion Creates Purpose.

Afiana Shiferaw is a fourth year PharmD candidate at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) Skaggs School of Pharmacy. She received her B.S. in pharmacological chemistry UCSD as part of the 7 Year BS/Pharm.D. program. When she began pharmacy school she found that SNPhA was the only organization that prioritized serving and building community—which can guide your practice no matter the career pathway. The mission of serving the underserved and finding community with other minority pharmacy students resonated with her deeply.

Jazmin Igbineweka is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy student at Texas A&M University Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy. Originally from Houston, Texas, she is the oldest of her siblings and takes great pride in paving the way for her family as a future pharmacist. Growing up in a minority community, Jazmin witnessed firsthand the healthcare disparities that many families face, including barriers to preventive care and misconceptions surrounding immunizations. These experiences inspired her passion for public health and fueled her commitment to improving health equity through education, advocacy, and service.

Rekiyah Spears is a P4 pharmacy student at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee, and a proud Memphis native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Med from the illustrious Alabama State University in 2023. Her passion for pharmacy was inspired by watching her grandparents navigate illness throughout her childhood and sparked her desire to become part of a clinical team that makes a meaningful difference in patients’ lives, particularly within the pediatric population.

SNPhA has played a transformative role in Rekiyah’s development as a confident, purpose-driven, compassionate, and impactful leader. Throughout her SNPhA journey, she has served as Bridging the Gap Chair, Vice President, and Delegate at the chapter level; Public Relations Chair for the Power to End Stroke Subcommittee at the national level; and now serves on the National Board as the National Bridging the Gap Chair for the 2026–2027 year.

Through her leadership, Rekiyah hopes to create the same opportunities for growth, connection, and confidence that SNPhA created for her. She is passionate about empowering others to recognize their potential, building meaningful connections, expanding access to opportunities, and encouraging students to lead with purpose while giving back to their communities. She is also a proud member of the Imhotep Leadership and Honor Society at the University of Tennessee.

Rekiyah believes leadership is not about being the loudest person in the room or knowing the most; it is about building connections, creating opportunities, and reaching back to help others along the way. Cortney Conners is a fourth year PharmD candidate at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville concurrently completing her Master of Public Health degree. She was raised in the St. Louis metropolitan area by a family of educators and healthcare workers that shaped her passion for health education, community outreach, and working with underserved communities. With work experience in both the community and inpatient hospital setting, Cortney has developed a strong foundation of patient-centered care skills, interprofessional collaboration, and adaptability, which guide her work ethic and leadership.

Throughout pharmacy school, Cortney has been highly involved with SNPhA on both the local and national level, serving as Chapter Fundraising Chair, Vice President, Delegate, LMBI Chair, and on the National LMBI Subcommittee as Advocacy, Feedback and Development Chair. SNPhA has truly inspired Cortney to take an active approach in creating change through her participation in and organization of activities such as resolution development, hosting food drives, moderating a cultural humility panel, etc.

Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family. This year as the National Legislative, Membership Benefits, and Immigration Chair, she is excited to display how her Passion Creates Purpose through empowering others to amplify the voices and needs of underserved communities!

Christopher Lane is a fourth-year PharmD candidate at the University of Louisiana Monroe. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University A&M.

Growing up without healthcare professionals in his family, Christopher often felt powerless when relatives were diagnosed with serious illnesses. This lack of access to knowledge and resources fueled his passion to pursue a career in healthcare and become an advocate for his community. His experience working as a pharmacy technician before beginning pharmacy school provided firsthand insight into the health disparities affecting underserved populations in his hometown.

Christopher’s journey with the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) began during his first year of pharmacy school as the Legislative and Membership Benefits Initiative (LMBI) Vice Chair. After attending his first regional and national conferences, he embraced SNPhA’s mission to serve the underserved and be a voice for minority and underrepresented communities. Since then, he has served in several national leadership roles, including National Fighting Diabetes Chair, where he led initiatives focused on diabetes education, advocacy, and community outreach.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new food spots, and traveling. Now serving as Project Keepsake Chair, Christopher is excited to turn his passion for service into meaningful impact, proving that "Passion Creates Purpose" .

Curtis Owusu-Mensah is a PharmD candidate at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at Saint Joseph’s University. With family roots in Ghana, Curtis has developed a strong appreciation for culture, community, and service. During pharmacy school, he found a sense of purpose and belonging through the Student National Pharmaceutical Association. He previously served as President of his school’s SNPhA chapter, where he worked to strengthen student engagement, encourage professional development, and expand opportunities for community service. Through his leadership, Curtis has supported programs centered on health education, mentorship, collaboration, and the advancement of underrepresented students within pharmacy.

Outside of SNPhA, Curtis is involved with Philly Student Doctors and Health Educated Inc. These experiences have allowed him to help organize professional networking events, health education programs, and community-based initiatives for students and underserved populations. Curtis also completed a summer internship with Johns Hopkins, where he gained experience in pharmacy operations, healthcare administration, research, and quality improvement. His professional interests include pharmacy leadership, emergency medicine, community outreach, mentorship, healthcare innovation, and improving access to care. He hopes to continue using his education and leadership experiences to create meaningful programs, support future healthcare professionals, and help address disparities affecting underserved communities.

IIn his free time, Curtis enjoys gaming, reading, videography, working out, traveling, attending social events, and spending quality time with his family and friends. This year, he is honored to serve as the SNPhA National Fighting Diabetes Chair. Curtis looks forward to supporting student leaders throughout the organization, strengthening connections between SNPhA chapters, and encouraging members to turn their individual passions into meaningful service. Through this role, he hopes to continue growing as a leader while demonstrating how Passion Creates Purpose.

Kizito (Zito) Nwauwa is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) student attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Pharmacy. Raised in Chicago, Illinois, Kizito grew up with passionate healthcare advocates in his family that have set the foundation for him and instilled his passion for serving the underserved.

SNPhA’s purpose of serving the underserved has followed Kizito long before his formal involvement with the organization. His passion for for pharmacy stemmed from experiences he has had with underfunded healthcare systems and poorly managed infrastructures in place to care for patients. Throughout his SNPhA journey, he has had experience pioneering chapter endeavors as the SNPhA Chapter President-Elect, Interim Chapter Vice President, and most recently Chapter President. Kizito has also been avid in attending regional and annual conventions over the past few years, representing his institution's chapter and contributing towards SNPhA's mission.

Beyond SNPhA, Kizito has actively participated in other professional organizations such as Phi Lambda Sigma and Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP). With over 4 years of clinical pharmacy intern experience, he demonstrates the reliability, adaptability, and a long-term commitment to providing patient-centered care. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys personal fitness, trying new foods/restaurants, and quality time with family and friends.

As the SNPhA National Power to End Stroke Initiative Chair, Kizito is dedicated to leading this mission by raising awareness about cardiac diseases and their impact on minority communities. His hope is to expand how students can intervene in their communities and create multi-faceted advocates to improve the reduction of heart disease and stroke complications. Kizito firmly believes that Passion Creates Purpose. and is ready to share that passion with amazing like-minded individuals.

Alex Alba is a fourth-year dual PharmD/MSPH candidate at Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and a proud native of Durham, North Carolina. He studied Genetics at North Carolina State University, where his passion for science, advocacy, and improving population health outcomes began.

Soliyana Getamesay Kassa (Soli) is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. Originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia She was raised surrounded by health care professionals who installed her deep love for the underserved community.

Jennifer Le is a fourth-year PharmD Candidate at the University of California, San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science. Originally from San Jose, she earned her B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a minor in Management at the University of California, Irvine. Growing up as a first generation college student, Jennifer saw the struggles her parents went through in trying to navigate the healthcare system and understand their medications. She saw the difficulties they experienced given the language barrier. This has inspired her to continue to serve her community and help others navigate through these same barriers.

As UCSD’s inaugural combating cancer initiative chair, Jennifer has been able to raise awareness through social media posts and tabling events. She raised over $200 in cupcake sales to donate to the American Cancer Society. Knowledge is power and that’s why Jennifer continues to strive to educate her community. Her passion for cancer awareness has created purpose in furthering the reach for cancer awareness as this year’s National Combating Cancer Initiative Chair.

Outside of pharmacy, you can usually find Jennifer baking or scrapbooking. She loves baking new cupcake flavors whenever she can. Her love for scrapbooking has allowed her to acquire a large collection of cardstock paper, stickers, and so much more. Her dog, Kovu, an adorable Lab mix, is never far behind her. Jennifer is excited to combine all of her Passion Creates Purpose. She hopes to inspire others through information but also creativity! .

Precious Craig is a PharmD graduate of the University of Arizona. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and raised in Peoria, Arizona, she earned a M.S. in Public Health in 2025 and B.S. in Public Health with a minor in Biochemistry in 2021.

In 2022, Precious co-founded and served as President of the SNPhA chapter at her school. Nationally, she served as the SNPhA National President-Elect from 2024-2025, Region V Facilitator from 2023 to 2024 and was a member of the National Nominations Committee in 2023. Precious launched a Black Health Fair in Tucson to address healthcare disparities in underserved communities and has actively supported underrepresented students through her leadership roles. She also facilitated collaboration between SNPhA and MexZona, a program that sends pharmacy students to Mexico for monthly health clinics.

She completed the Greater Tucson Leadership Lead Tucson Program, earning the Gen Ronald L. Kurth Award, and became one of the youngest recipients of Tucson's 40 Under 40 award. Precious is passionate about pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry. In her free time, she coaches track for the Tucson Elite Athletic Club and enjoys playing the guitar, boxing, weightlifting, cooking, and photography.

This year, Precious will serve as the SNPhA National Executive Chairwoman and is excited to continue driving meaningful change within the organization. She looks forward to connecting with fellow students and exemplifying how to Passion Creates Purpose. within the community.

Tazche Turner, PharmD earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and is a proud double Tar Heel, also holding a B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Entrepreneurship from UNC. She is currently a U.S. Market Access Fellow at Bristol Myers Squibb in partnership with the Rutgers Institute for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships.

Tazche is deeply committed to service. As the 2024 - 2025 National President of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA), she led under the presidential theme “Connected for Change,” advancing initiatives that expanded access to care for individuals experiencing homelessness and educating student pharmacists on the impact of social determinants of health.

Now, as Executive Consultant, Tazche is honored to continue supporting SNPhA’s mission and legacy. Guided by this year’s theme Passion Creates Purpose, she is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders and ensuring members have the tools, resources, and connections to create lasting impacts in their communities.

Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys solving puzzles, cycling with Peloton, and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Strowbridge is a Pain Management Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner at the VA Atlanta Health Care System. She is originally from Swainsboro, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Georgia Southern University and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia. Dr. Strowbridge also completed two years of residency training, specializing in geriatrics.

Dr. Strowbridge’s SNPhA story began her first year of pharmacy school. She has proudly served as her chapter’s CAPs Vice Chair, as the Career Recruitment Chair on the National Bridging the Gap subcommittee, the National Recording Secretary, and most recently as a National Executive Consultant, a role she will continue for her third year.

Beyond SNPhA, Dr. Strowbridge leads a personal initiative called SafeHaven Rx, which focuses on educating the community about substance use disorders and harm reduction strategies.

In her free time, Dr. Strowbridge enjoys exercising, experimenting with new recipes, playing with her dog, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her passion for serving and advocating for her community, along with helping students discover their own paths within the pharmacy profession, fuels her ongoing commitment to SNPhA. Dr. Strowbridge is excited to continue working with students and the National Board because she believes Passion Creates Purpose.

Ms. Yadira Hernandez was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and proudly embraces her bilingual Spanish background, rooted in her Puerto Rican heritage. A graduate of Tri-County Community College, she holds certifications in CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Surgical Technologist (CSM), and Home Health Aide (HHA).

With over five years of experience working as a CNA, Ms. Hernandez has developed a deep understanding of patient care and compassion—particularly in high-stress and emotionally demanding situations. Her time in healthcare has also shaped her awareness of the critical need for workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion in providing the highest quality care.

In addition to her healthcare background, she has held supervisory roles in various retail settings, where she brought innovative ideas and maintained strong organizational practices. Now serving as the Administrative Assistant for the SNPhA National Office, Ms. Hernandez supports key operations including conference planning, website reporting, online store management, and travel coordination..
